Here are the steps to bulk edit and upload vendor credits.
Find SaasAnt Transactions in the QuickBooks App Store and connect it to your QuickBooks account. This certified, secure app keeps your data safe and well-managed.
Go to SaasAnt Transactions Dashboard -> Export. Select "Vendor Credit" from the Transaction List drop-down menu.
Choose a date type, such as search by transaction date, created date, or last updated date. Select the date range and mapping template, then click Search. You can also use the advanced filter to search by total amount and reference number.
A list of Vendor Credits for the chosen date type and range will be displayed. Click Download and select whether you want to download the file in XLSX or CSV format. You can also uncheck the checkbox of a particular Vendor Credit if you don’t want that specific transaction in the downloaded file.
Check your downloads folder to view the downloaded file and make the necessary changes.
For example, if you need to edit the date format, you can use the "Find and Replace" feature to make the change in one step. Sometimes, you may need to adjust the quantity of a product or service across multiple Vendor Credits. In such cases, this bulk edit option is particularly useful.
Go to SaasAnt Transactions Dashboard -> Modify -> Select Vendor Credits from Vendor Transactions.
Upload the file to which you have made changes or enter the Google Sheet link.
Mapping ensures that the fields in QuickBooks match those in the imported file.
For example, when you select a QuickBooks entity as a Vendor Credit, QuickBooks attributes for the vendor credit, such as the vendor credit number, will appear on the left side. If your file lists the Vendor Credit number under S.No, you must map it correctly.
Preview Mapping shows you how the fields would be mapped in QuickBooks.
Review the data mapped to avoid mistakes and ensure the accurate alignment of all details. SaasAnt Transactions facilitates data review and corrections, helping you identify and resolve errors. Click on Update QuickBooks.
Once the data is uploaded, click "Show Results." Upon successful import, the list of vendor credits uploaded will appear, along with their corresponding reference numbers. Click on the reference number to verify if that particular vendor credit has been uploaded into QuickBooks.
You can also delete the uploaded vendor credit by clicking the delete button.
Create a Backup: Before making any bulk edits, always back up your QuickBooks company file. This provides a restore point in case anything goes wrong during the editing process.
Review Your Data: If you're importing changes from Excel, carefully review your spreadsheet to ensure that all data is accurate and formatted correctly according to QuickBooks' requirements.
Communicate with Your Team: If the changes will impact other team members or departments, communicate the updates clearly to avoid confusion and prevent duplication of efforts.
Limit Access: Ensure that only authorized users can perform bulk edits. This helps prevent accidental or unauthorized changes, maintaining control over your vendor credit data.
